National Trails Day is June 6th - Romero Canyon Trail!

National Trails Day A Success!

More than 50 people turned out for National Trails Day on Jesusita Trail last weekend.  Lots of brush was removed and many repairs made to the tread.  Thanks to all that participated!

National Trails Day June 7th- Jesusita Trail

National Trails Day 2011- Tunnel-Rattlesnake Connector Trail

The Tunnel-Rattlesnake Connector Trail, a trail that had seen better days. Burned to a crisp in the Jesusita Fire, washed out beyond recognition the following two winters, and overgrown and in need of some serious help. Along comes National Trails Day and not a second too late. This agency sposored event involved many of the big trail organization in town and around 25 volunteers from the community. A large portion of the trail was repaired and made very user friendly thanks to the good turnout.

June 5th Is National Trails Day

June 13th- Jesusita Fire Trails Restoration- National Trails Day

The trails need your help! On Saturday, June 13th the agencies and most local trail organizations including ourselves will be involved in repairing the trails effected by the Jesusita Fire. Trails to be repaired June 13th include: Jesusita, Tunnel, Rattlesnake, and West Fork of Cold Springs. There is still a lot of work to be done in order to re-open these trails- you can make a difference! We will meet at Skofield Park and most likely have a BBQ following.
